The Mercedes-Benz W166 ML 63 AMG was launched in 2011 as the third generation of the ML-Class and offered an impressive combination of luxury and performance. It was powered by a 5.5-liter V8 biturbo engine that produced up to 525 hp. The vehicle was characterized by a sporty design, all-wheel drive and improved suspension tuning to offer dynamic driving characteristics. In 2015, the model was renamed the GLE-Class as part of a facelift, although it was also offered as the GLE 63 AMG. Production of the W166 finally ended in 2019, when it was replaced by the next-generation GLE.
