Описание

McLaren Barcelona / Chelsea 1979 introduces you this Dino GT Matching Numbers.

The Ferrari Dino 246 GT—named in honor of Enzo Ferrari’s son, Alfredo “Dino” Ferrari—is forever intertwined with the marque’s history not only for its design and performance, but also for being the first model offered at a more accessible price point. Marketed under its own sub-brand, the Dino realized Alfredo’s vision after his father tasked him with developing a dual-overhead-camshaft V-6 engine.
Initially launched as the 206 GT, true commercial success arrived in 1969 with the debut of the more powerful, steel-bodied 246 GT. Its 2.4-liter, mid-mounted V-6 sent power to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual gearbox. This well-balanced layout delivered an agile, exhilarating driving experience, while the Dino’s timeless silhouette and distinctive rounded rear window made it a genuine sales hit. Early L-series cars were produced only briefly before being succeeded in 1970 by the M-series, recognizable by five-bolt Cromodora alloy wheels and parallel wipers. These, in turn, were followed by the E-series models—like the U.S.-spec example offered here.
Chassis 04948, completed on 30 October 1972, is an E-Series U.S.-specification Dino 246 GT finished in its original Rosso Rubino (20-Y-348) over Pelle Beige (VM 846) leather, as confirmed by Factory Colour Certificate No. 0020178. Powered by the 2.4-liter V-6 with triple Weber 40 DCF 14 carburetors producing 175 bhp, it features ventilated disc brakes, a 41:59 weight distribution, and an ANSA exhaust that accentuates its character.
Originally delivered to California, this Dino enjoyed meticulous care during its long U.S. tenure, receiving desirable upgrades such as Campagnolo wheels and a comprehensive service at Lyle Tanner Enterprises in 2004. In 2003, Marti Bishop Exotic described it as “above-average condition and still very original.” Both Linda Lee Smith and Richard H. Gilmore entrusted its maintenance to Ferrari of Atlanta, underscoring the level of attention it received.
In 2008 the car was exported to Denmark, where it underwent a Dinitrol anti-corrosion treatment. In 2025 it joined the collection of Chelsea 1979 in Barcelona, Spain, and is now offered for sale showing just 54,767 miles.
This Dino 246 GT stands out not only for its authenticity and impeccable mechanical condition, but also for a well-documented history spanning two continents. It represents an exceptional opportunity for collectors seeking a perfectly preserved, emblematic example of one of Ferrari’s most beloved models.
